You may be reading this question, afraid to admit that some occasions in your life have made you feel angry. But, you needn’t be wary of acknowledging your anger.  Everyone experiences anger at some time in their lives; anger is a normal human emotion.  What we do with our anger is when problems can arise.

Establishing Yourself as a Life Blogger is about speaking from the heart, sharing your passion with others, and building community.

When people are looking for inspiration, instead of only going outward to others for answers, dig deep and look within. Write your posts as if you are speaking from your heart. Remember, people are coming to your blog to connect with you and hear your thoughts. Blogging is a conversation where you start talking and people respond.

Coffee, Talk, & a Walk: Tina Steinberg

I am so delighted that Tina Steinberg is sharing her story with us. I came across Tina's jewelry when I was reading an article in a magazine and saw Kara Goucher wearing the "I am Not Afraid" necklace.  I loved the necklace and contacted her immediately to get one.  She is so talented.  I highly recommend checking out her site after you’ve read her post here. She has really inspired me. It is also through her that I met Amy Thackery, who designed my logo.  THANK YOU TINA!

New Series: Perseverance

I am starting a new blog series on Perseverance and am extending an invitation to you all to share your story or an inspiring video/piece of advice on how to deal with setbacks. I find that we hear more about individuals' success orattainment of an end goal, but hardly hear about their journey to reach that goal. The “journey” is what my blog is about, and helping individuals overcome bumps along the road. The video below shows exactly what I am talking about.  When you think of these people, you think about how accomplished they are.  I never knew about all of the struggles they had gone through to reach their goals.  Learning this lesson is important!

How to Find Your Passion?

I think it’s important to find something you love doing and to find your passion in life. I think you can do this on a daily basis.  This can be shown through your relationships, extra-curricular work, and career.

Have you ever met someone who is doing work which they truly love? Their excitement about their work can be infectious.

These people will probably be quick to tell you that they didn’t get their special job overnight, that it took a lot of time and effort and chance encounters to get there.  The people who I have heard from will also tell you that the job that they have now and LOVE was not the specific job they had in mind when they started out a long time ago.  They turned their interest into a career.

"Dig Deep": The Lesson I Learned From Disney's Beauty and the Beast

When I was growing up, the Disney princes were what us young girls thought of as our "dream" guys.  Huesmann (1988) suggests that when children view television, they learn about many aspects of society. They gain knowledge of the attitudes and behaviours that are acceptable to society. The children learn from television by copying the behaviours that are portrayed on it. Therefore, if a behaviour is shown on television to be acceptable and valued by their society, the children will learn to emulate that behaviour.

If you haven't seen Beauty and the Beast, you should watch it, as the movie is a classic.

Let the Music Heal Your Soul

Before I start talking about relationships for the next couple weeks, I thought I would share some songs that empower me every time I hear them. My middle sister, the same one that made me that beautiful collage, is addicted to music and always sends me beautiful songs. She asked me to bring more music to my page. Therefore, to honour her request, I put together ten of my favourite empowering songs.  Hope you enjoy them!

I've lost my drive...rowing drive that is...

I had an interesting experience on the erg (indoor rowing machine) yesterday that I have to share.

I came to the gym eager for a great workout and got on the erg.  It was going great, had my headphones on, and in a great mood.  Then out of nowhere, around the four minute mark,  my legs stopped.  It was the weirdest thing, I literally LOST my drive (in more ways than one, motivation and is part of the rowing stroke).

The drive in rowing is the part of the stroke where the rower pulls the blade through the water using their legs, back and arms to propel the boat. It is a fundamental part of the stroke, as the rowing is 80% leg muscle power.  Don't believe me - try rowing; you'll soon realize it's all about the legs.

Finding Arianna: A Journey of figuring out what my goal is in life

I think I have had many whispers in my ear over my lifetime, I usually refer to them as weird coincidences.

I think every individual's life journey should be about finding your passion and being strong enough to go after it.

Kyle Hamiltons video all the little moments add up to the big moment - I think all the people that I have met over my journey and all my experiences had led me where I am today.
